The first workshop presenting the final results of the EU-DualS project, entitled “Scuola, imprese, famiglie: un’alleanza per aumentare le chance professionali della nuova generazione” will be held on May 31st at the Istituto Statale di Istruzione Superiore Andrea Ponti in Gallarate.

The event is organised by the Italian project partner CONFAPI and specifically by its local branch CONFAPI Varese. The association decided to invest on a study-work alternation program, encouraging the meeting between schools and companies. It was inspired inspired by the success of the German model, which, through the dual system, has reduced the levels of unemployment by facilitating the inclusion of young people in the professional world.

The students of the Istituto Andrea Ponti had an experience of alternating their studies with professional experiences both at the companies associated with CONFAPI and, later on, through a professional internship of one month at German companies associated with BVMW, the German association of small and medium-sized enterprises and also a project partner. Some of the students have also had job offers from both German companies and the Italian companies that had chosen to participate in the program while looking for skilled labour.

The event will be attended not only by representatives of national institutions and of the business world but also by students, families and European stakeholders.
