EU-DualS Project Partners Meet in Rome to Plan the Next Steps
The EU-DualS project partners met at CONFAPI’s headquarter in Rome at the end of June 2017 to discuss the next steps of the project and organise the coming activities in the next year of work.
The meeting started with the the Italian and Spanish partners report on the successful implementation of the initial phase of the project in the two countries. In Italy high school students have engaged in Work Based Learning (WBL) in local companies for hundreds of hours already and are ready to leave for their internships abroad in autumn 2017.
In Spain, ADEGI, the local EU-DualS partner, reported to have just signed an agreement with the Regional Basque Government to promote the dual system at University level and confirmed that high-school students will be ready to leave for their work time in Germany next year.
The details of the time in Germany for the Italian students have been finalised, with BVMW confirming that work places for almost all Italian students, as well as hosting families and individuals for accommodation, had been found. These details were further finalised in an online meeting with representatives of the Istituto Andrea Ponti, the technical high-school that has joined the project to try the Dual System. At the meeting, it was agreed that students will be requested to fill in a handbook of the internship experience.
